This weekend Wheyhey took to the London 2014 Spartan Race in partnership with Reebok!
Day one took the competitors on a 3 mile muddy obstacle race around the heart of Pippingford Park – known for its military training area, so you can only imagine how tough this race is!
The obstacle courses tackle the likes of fire jumps, barbed wire crawls, spear throws, wall climbs, log jumps, the herculean hoist and finally the gladiator arena, where the athletes must pass through “gladiators” who aim to knock them down.
With Wheyhey ready at the finish line, we were overwhelmed by the response for our ice cream, albeit by extremely exhausted and relieved competitors after battling through the course – so of course, our ice cream was exactly the right whey to refuel after the day!
If that race wasn’t enough, day 2 saw the return of many of the competitors and a huge number of new friendly faces too to push their limits and strengths through the course – but this time for over 10K beast!
Through blood, sweat and tears – quite literally! – Wheyhey was once again a huge hit with the sunny weather on our side!
Wheyhey are back to the Spartan Race this weekend to Cambridge, and with four more Spartan Races to go, it is only a matter of time before the Wheyhey team take to the course ourselves!
